Eksperimentalna slobodna scena je nezavisna, nevladina, neprofitna organizacija osnovana u cilju promicanja i afirmacije suvremenog plesa i drugih oblika izvedbenih umjetnosti.
Dugoročni ciljevi EkS-scene su: podupirati plesače i koreografe te im omogućiti uvjete za daljne napredovanje, podržati mlade umjetnike drugih oblika izvedbenih umjetnosti, poticati multimedijalne, eksperimentalne i alternativne oblike scenskog izričaja, poticati suradnju s umjetnicima ostalih umjetničkih područja, promicati ples kao relevantnu kulturnu aktivnost, izmjestiti ples u šire društvene sfere, ostvarivati projekte i promicati suradnju sa srodnim organizacijama u Hrvatskoj i svijetu, stvoriti funkcionalnu informativno-komunikacijsku mrežu korisnika svih grana izvedbenih umjetnosti. U skladu s navedenim, EkS-scena od osnutka do danas nastoji otvoriti mogućnosti za razvoj novih oblika kolektivnog rada kroz realiziciju sljedećih programa: EPDS (Edukacijski plesni program), ARP (Autorska radna platforma), WARP (Večeri autorskih radova i performansa), FRAPPE (tematske prezentacije, diskusije i predavanja).
Udruga je aktivno uključena u rad platforme Clubture-a čiji je član od samog osnivanja mreže.

Experimental Free Scene is an independent, non-government and non-profit association founded with aim to promote and to further support dance and other forms of performing arts.

The aims of the association are: to support dancers and choreographers and enable their further artistic development, to support young artists involved in performing arts, to encourage cross-media, experimental and alternative forms of performing arts, to encourage collaboration with artists in other fields of arts, to promote dance as an important issue in cultural life, to incorporate dance in broader social context, to open collaboration possibilities on projects with related organisations in Croatia and abroad, to create a useful network of information exchange and communication for artists and all other interested individuals or groups. Since it's founding EkS-scena is trying to develop new modes of collective work by creating a large number of projects and daily programs : EPDS / trainings and education, ARP / Authors Working Platform, WARP / Evening sessions with performances and work presentations, frappe /presentations and discussions.
The association is one of the members and founders of Clubture production network.

Francuski institut

Povijest Francuskog instituta u Zagrebu započinje 1921. s dolaskom prvog francuskog lektora Raymonda Warniera. Na njegovu incijativu osnovana je francuska biblioteka 1922., a
1946. otvara se i Francuska čitaonica u Preradovićevoj 5 koja 2001. mijenja naziv u Medijateka Francuskog instituta - informacijski centar. Medijateka posjeduje bogatu kolekciju CD-ova (klasična glazba, francuska šansona, jazz, rock...), DVD-ova, VHS kazeta, CD-romova a u njoj se mogu svakodnevnoi konzultirati brojne francuske dnevne novine i časopisi, te dobiti turističke i druge informacije o Francuskoj. Na istoj adresi smještena je i Biblioteka Francuskog instituta koja posjeduje više od 20.000 knjiga. Riječ je o pravom multimedijalnom i dokumentacijskom prostoru posvećenom francuskoj kulturi i civilizaciji, koji je ujedno i mjesto hrvatsko-francuskog okupljanja frankofonih i nefrankofonih korisnika.
Francuski institut zauzima vrlo istaknuto mjesto u francusko-hrvatskoj suradnji. Vrlo je aktivan u kulturnom životu, promiče francusku kulturu te sudjeluje u brojnim festivalima i drugim kulturnim događanjima u Zagrebu i diljem Hrvatske.

Goethe institut

Nezavisna, neprofitabilna organizacija koja ukupno broji 141 institut u 77 država svijeta te 16 matičnih ureda na području Savezne Republike Njemačke. Jedan od najvažnijih ciljeva Goethe instituta u Zagrebu je podupiranje međunarodne kulturne suradnje. U tom kontekstu Goethe instutut podupire širok spektar kulturnih događanja vezanih za njemačku kulturu te posreduje između različitih međunarodnih kulturnih aktera. Osim navedenog, Goethe institut također organizira radionice i seminare za njemačke pedagoge te nudi velik broj informacija, materijala i tečaja za učenike i studente svih nivoa znanja.

Non-commercial organisation with 141 institutes in 77 countries and 16 offices in Germany. An important goal of the Goethe-Institut Zagreb is the enhancement of international cultural cooperation. In this context the Goethe-Institut Zagreb supports a broad spectrum of cultural events in connection with German culture and mediates between other international cultural actors.In addition, the institute also organizes workshops and seminars for German teachers and offers a multitude of information material and courses for all level learners.

CDU se bavi problemima stvorenim institucionalnim samoocuvanjem kazalisne manufakture ili proizvodnje robe u izvedbenim umjetnostima; nudi nove modele prezentacije izvedbenih umjetnosti; rekonstruira kljucne momente radikalnih predstava/performansa u recentnijoj povijesti izvedbenih umjetnosti u Hrvatskoj; upucuje na vaznost marginaliziranih kazalisnih oblika kao nacina postojanja na margini; sudjeluje u koncipiranju novih kulturnih strategija i taktickom povezivanju nezavisne scene kroz projekte kao sto su Zagreb - Kulturni Kapital Evrope 3000.

CDU / Centre for Drama Arts

The CDU strives to open up new possibilities for the breakthrough of serious performative thought and action. CDU deals with the problems created by institutional self-preservation of theatrical manufacturing or the production of goods in the performing arts; offers new ways of performing arts presentation; reconstructs crucial moments of individual radical performances in Croatia's recent performing arts history; points out the importance of marginalized theatrical forms as a way of existing on the margin; participates in concipating of the new cultural strategies and tactical networking of the independant scene through projects such as Zagreb - Cultural Kapital of Europe 3000.

HIPP / Hrvatski institut za pokret i ples

Organizacija je koju je osnovala Mirna Žagar sa ciljem pružanja i unapređivanja uvjeta za dinamičniji razvoj suvremenog plesa i kazališta pokreta u Hrvatskoj. Zamišljen poput kišobran-organizacije za nezavisne plesne projekte u području plesne edukacije, informacije, produkcije i promocije. Jedan od najpriznatijih projekata u okviru Instituta je Tjedan suvremenog plesa kojega je 1982. godine osnovala Mirna Žagar. Jedan od najstarijih festivala u regiji, Tjedan je do danas predstavio preko 400 međunarodno priznatih umjetnika, te je proizveo i više generacija hrvatskih koreografa - pridonoseći ujedno i međunarodnoj kulturnoj razmjeni i sve prisutnosti hrvatskih plesnih autora na međunarodnoj sceni. 1992. godine, Institut je predstavio 250 hrvatskih umjetnika Kopenhagenu u okviru inicijacije projekta Kopenhagen - Kulturna Prijestolnica Europe. Institut je godinama bio domaćin regionalne platforme najvećeg svjetskog koreografskog događanja “Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine Saint Denis” te je producirao autore pobjednike (Boruta Šeparovića i Emila Matešića). 1997. Institut je u kazalištu Veem u Amsterdamu predstavio hrvatsku samostalnu plesnu i mimsku scenu, a 2002 mlade koreografe na platformi u Archa Teatru u Pragu. Iste godine odabranom krugu njemačkih selektora u ZekaeMu u suradnji sa Frakcijom predstavljena je tadašnja hrvatska plesna produckija. MAPAZ (Moving Academy for Performing Arts Zagreb) također je jedan od projekata kojega je u okviru Instituta inicirala1992. godine Mirna Žagar, a koji je imao međunarodni odjek u osnivanju središnjice MAPA projekta u Amsterdamu. Projekt pod vodstvom Ide van Heinengena s pravom se ponosi sa razgranatom mrežom suradnika i partnera diljem Europe. Putem projekta MAPAZ u regiji su prvi puta predstavljeni seminari sa ciljem pružanja alternativnog modela stručnog usavršavanja u području nezavisnih izvedbenih umjetnosti sa naglaskom na suvremeni ples i mimu (seminari u području kulturnog managementa, rasvjete, dramaturgije, plesnih i mimskih tehnika). Većina današnjih suradnika Instituta i Festivala regrutirani su kroz ove seminare. Institut nadalje pruža usluge informacije o plesu u Hrvatskoj zainteresiranoj javnosti, vladinim strukturama, profesionalcima i međunarodnim partnerima, kroz organizaciju seminara, radionica, okruglih stolova, promotivnih aktivnosti a posjeduje u Hrvatskoj jedinstvenu plesnu videoteku. Institut često koriste samostalni umjetnici za inicijaciju vlastitit projekata (npr. Emil Matešić, Irma Omerzo, Marija Ščekić, Edvin Liverić, Iva Nerina Gattin) do trenutka stvaranja vlastitih organizacijskih modela i drugih samostalnih projekata. Institut predstavlja jedinstveni izvor informacija na temu plesa u Hrvatskoj od interesa međunarodnoj zajednici, te omogućuje razvoja međunarodne suradnje i kulturne razmjene.

HIPP / The Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance

Not for profit organization instrumental in pioneering and enhancing conditions for the independent contemporary dance, movement and mime in Croatia. The Institute’s longest standing project is DANCE WEEK FESTIVAL (Tjedan suvremenog plesa), founded by Artistic Founding Director/ Producer Mirna Zagar. The Festival has, since its inception in 1982, presented well over 400 internationally acclaimed artists and companies. As one of the oldest festivals in the region, Dance Week Festival has promoted and produced several generations of Croatian dance artists, and the Institute has substantially contributed to international cultural exchange and collaboration. The new generation of Croatian dance makers is increasingly present on international markets as a result of the Institute’s activity. In 1992, the Institute presented over 250 Croatian artists to Copenhagen as part of the introductory events leading to Copenhagen-Cultural Capital of Europe. The Institute had for several years championed the regional presence for the international choreographic event “Rencontres Chorégraphic Internationales de Seine Saint Denis” and has produced award winners (Borut Separovic, Emil Matesic). In 1997 the Institute presented Croatian mime and dance at the Veem Theater in Amsterdam, and in 2002 featured an emerging generation of dance makers at a networking session at the Archa Theatre in Prague, and later in ZekaeM in partnership with Frakcija for select German presenters. MAPA(Z) is another international project initiated by Mirna Zagar in 1992 under the auspicies of the Institute and in close collaboration with Ide van Heiningen who heads the MAPA (Moving Academy for Performing Arts) project’s home-base in Amsterdam along with an elaborate network of activities spanning across Europe. Through the project MAPAZ, the Institute introduced to the region a unique model of alternative skill enhancement seminars and workshops (Arts Management, Light Design, Technical and Performing Skills, Dramaturgy for Dance), for the practicing performing artists working in the independent sector. Most of the Institute’s current project leaders were recruited through this system. The Institute promotes information on, about and for dance among audiences at large, governments and professionals through diverse activity such as open forums, round-table discussions, workshops, seminars, and hosts the only dance specific videotheque in Croatia. The organization is also used by emerging artists for production purposes providing them with initial infrastructural support (Emil Matesic, Edvin Liveric, Irma Omerzo, Iva Nerina Gattin, Marija Scekic) leading to formation of their respective companies and other spin-off activity. A unique source of information for dance in Croatia of interest to the international markets, the Institute continues to be a unique networking point towards international, educational opportunities, touring and exchange projects.

MARMOT / Mala Autorska Radionica Međuodnosa Objektiva i Tijela

Umjetnička organizacija osnovana 2000. g. u Zagrebu. Pod umjetničkim vodstavom Irme Omerzo, MARMOT se bavi produkcijom plesih predstava, filmova, akcija i performansa, istraživanja plesa te plesnim pedagoškim programima na hrvatskoj i međunarodnoj plesnoj sceni.

Zagrebački plesni ansambl (ZPA)je od osnutka do danas ostao beskompromisan u promišljanju plesa kao umjetničkog izričaja .Stvorio je veliki broj plesača i plesnih stručnjaka koji danas uspješno djeluju u zemlji i inozemstvu.
ZPA ima zavidan kontinuitet rada,a nastupao je na svim važnijim festivalima u zemlji kao što su Muzički biennale; Dani hrvatske glazbe; Dubrovačke ljetne igre;Međunarodni dječji festival,Šibenik;Tjedan suvremenog plesa; ZadArsNova; Festival plesa i neverbalnog kazališta Svetvinčenat; Zlatni lav,Umag. Surađuje i gostuje u svim velikim kazališnim kućama u zemlji (Zagrebačko kazalište mladih,HNK u Osijeku,HNK Split;INK u Puli,HNK"Ivan pl.Zajc" Rijeka...). U inozemstvu je gostovao na renomiranim festivalima i u kazališnim kućama u Njemačkoj, Rusiji, Sloveniji, Mađarskoj, Italiji, Portugalu, Litvi, Španjolskoj,BiH i Egiptu. ZPA sustavno radi na internacionalizaciji plesne umjetnosti u Hrvatskoj ,te surađuje sa značajnim inozemnim koreografima i pedagozima kao što su Kilina Cremona, Francuska; Norio Yoshida,Francuska; Martin Sonderkamp,Nizozemska; Juan Carlos Garcia,Španjolska; Bebeto Cidra,Brazil; Emilio Gutierrez,Španjolska; Alexey Taran,Venecuela...Suradnja ZPA sa Lanonimom Imperial iz Barcelone rezultirala je projektom"Prepoznavanje krajolika" proglašenim od Vijeća Europe za jedan od deset najboljih kulturnih programa za 1996.godinu. Na festivalu La Herencia de la Danza u Valladolidu ,Španjolska isti projekt dobio je priznanje Broche de Oro za najbolju predstavu.
Za rad ZPA značajno je otvaranje prostora novom načinu razmišljanja o plesu,prostora za istraživanje, koji pored produkcija stavlja naglasak na proces rada i edukaciju izvođača.

Since its foundation Zagreb Dance Company has remained uncompromising in its thinking of dance as artistic expression.Zagreb Dance Company has an enviable continuity of its work and has educated a number of dancers and dance experts working in Croatia and abroad.Company has performed at all important festivals as well as in all big theatres in Croatia.
It is present abroad at important festivals and events in Germany,Russia,Slovenia,Hungary,Italy,Spain,Portugal,Lithuania,Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt. In the last couple of seasons,Zagreb Dance Company has been systematically working on the internationalisation of the dance art in Croatia and has co-operated with significant foreign choreographers and pedagogues.
The co-operation with Lanonima Imperial from Barcelona has resulted in the project «Identifying a Landscape»,which was considered one of the ten best programs in culture at the European Council commission in 1996,and which got the award for the best production (Broche de Oro) at La Herencia de la Danza Festival at Valladolid,Spain. It is important for the work of the Company to open the space for a new way of thinking dance,the space for investigation because Zagreb Dance Company has put emphasis not only on the productions themselvs but also on the process of the work and on the education of the dancers. MAPAZ (Moving Academy for Performing Arts Zagreb) također je jedan od projekata kojega je u okviru Instituta inicirala1992. godine Mirna Žagar, a koji je imao međunarodni odjek u osnivanju središnjice MAPA projekta u Amsterdamu. Projekt pod vodstvom Ide van Heinengena s pravom se ponosi sa razgranatom mrežom suradnika i partnera diljem Europe. Putem projekta MAPAZ u regiji su prvi puta predstavljeni seminari sa ciljem pružanja alternativnog modela stručnog usavršavanja u području nezavisnih izvedbenih umjetnosti sa naglaskom na suvremeni ples i mimu (seminari u području kulturnog managementa, rasvjete, dramaturgije, plesnih i mimskih tehnika). Većina današnjih suradnika Instituta i Festivala regrutirani su kroz ove seminare. Institut nadalje pruža usluge informacije o plesu u Hrvatskoj zainteresiranoj javnosti, vladinim strukturama, profesionalcima i međunarodnim partnerima, kroz organizaciju seminara, radionica, okruglih stolova, promotivnih aktivnosti a posjeduje u Hrvatskoj jedinstvenu plesnu videoteku. Institut često koriste samostalni umjetnici za inicijaciju vlastitit projekata (npr. Emil Matešić, Irma Omerzo, Marija Ščekić, Edvin Liverić, Iva Nerina Gattin) do trenutka stvaranja vlastitih organizacijskih modela i drugih samostalnih projekata. Institut predstavlja jedinstveni izvor informacija na temu plesa u Hrvatskoj od interesa međunarodnoj zajednici, te omogućuje razvoja međunarodne suradnje i kulturne razmjene. HIPP / The Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance Not for profit organization instrumental in pioneering and enhancing conditions for the independent contemporary dance, movement and mime in Croatia. The Institute’s longest standing project is DANCE WEEK FESTIVAL (Tjedan suvremenog plesa), founded by Artistic Founding Director/ Producer Mirna Zagar. The Festival has, since its inception in 1982, presented well over 400 internationally acclaimed artists and companies. As one of the oldest festivals in the region, Dance Week Festival has promoted and produced several generations of Croatian dance artists, and the Institute has substantially contributed to international cultural exchange and collaboration. The new generation of Croatian dance makers is increasingly present on international markets as a result of the Institute’s activity. In 1992, the Institute presented over 250 Croatian artists to Copenhagen as part of the introductory events leading to Copenhagen-Cultural Capital of Europe. The Institute had for several years championed the regional presence for the international choreographic event “Rencontres Chorégraphic Internationales de Seine Saint Denis” and has produced award winners (Borut Separovic, Emil Matesic). In 1997 the Institute presented Croatian mime and dance at the Veem Theater in Amsterdam, and in 2002 featured an emerging generation of dance makers at a networking session at the Archa Theatre in Prague, and later in ZekaeM in partnership with Frakcija for select German presenters. MAPA(Z) is another international project initiated by Mirna Zagar in 1992 under the auspicies of the Institute and in close collaboration with Ide van Heiningen who heads the MAPA (Moving Academy for Performing Arts) project’s home-base in Amsterdam along with an elaborate network of activities spanning across Europe. Through the project MAPAZ, the Institute introduced to the region a unique model of alternative skill enhancement seminars and workshops (Arts Management, Light Design, Technical and Performing Skills, Dramaturgy for Dance), for the practicing performing artists working in the independent sector. Most of the Institute’s current project leaders were recruited through this system. The Institute promotes information on, about and for dance among audiences at large, governments and professionals through diverse activity such as open forums, round-table discussions, workshops, seminars, and hosts the only dance specific videotheque in Croatia. The organization is also used by emerging artists for production purposes providing them with initial infrastructural support (Emil Matesic, Edvin Liveric, Irma Omerzo, Iva Nerina Gattin, Marija Scekic) leading to formation of their respective companies and other spin-off activity. A unique source of information for dance in Croatia of interest to the international markets, the Institute continues to be a unique networking point towards international, educational opportunities, touring and exchange projects. MARMOT / Mala Autorska Radionica Međuodnosa Objektiva i Tijela Umjetnička organizacija osnovana 2000. g. u Zagrebu. Pod umjetničkim vodstavom Irme Omerzo, MARMOT se bavi produkcijom plesih predstava, filmova, akcija i performansa, istraživanja plesa te plesnim pedagoškim programima na hrvatskoj i međunarodnoj plesnoj sceni. Under the artistic guidance of Irma Omerzo, MARMOT 's main occupation is the production of dance shows, films, actions and performances, dance research and educational programs within Croatian and international dance scene. Zagrebački plesni ansambl / ZPA Zagrebački plesni ansambl (ZPA)je od osnutka do danas ostao beskompromisan u promišljanju plesa kao umjetničkog izričaja .Stvorio je veliki broj plesača i plesnih stručnjaka koji danas uspješno djeluju u zemlji i inozemstvu. ZPA ima zavidan kontinuitet rada,a nastupao je na svim važnijim festivalima u zemlji kao što su Muzički biennale; Dani hrvatske glazbe; Dubrovačke ljetne igre;Međunarodni dječji festival,Šibenik;Tjedan suvremenog plesa; ZadArsNova; Festival plesa i neverbalnog kazališta Svetvinčenat; Zlatni lav,Umag. Surađuje i gostuje u svim velikim kazališnim kućama u zemlji (Zagrebačko kazalište mladih,HNK u Osijeku,HNK Split;INK u Puli,HNK"Ivan pl.Zajc" Rijeka...). U inozemstvu je gostovao na renomiranim festivalima i u kazališnim kućama u Njemačkoj, Rusiji, Sloveniji, Mađarskoj, Italiji, Portugalu, Litvi, Španjolskoj,BiH i Egiptu. ZPA sustavno radi na internacionalizaciji plesne umjetnosti u Hrvatskoj ,te surađuje sa značajnim inozemnim koreografima i pedagozima kao što su Kilina Cremona, Francuska; Norio Yoshida,Francuska; Martin Sonderkamp,Nizozemska; Juan Carlos Garcia,Španjolska; Bebeto Cidra,Brazil; Emilio Gutierrez,Španjolska; Alexey Taran,Venecuela...Suradnja ZPA sa Lanonimom Imperial iz Barcelone rezultirala je projektom"Prepoznavanje krajolika" proglašenim od Vijeća Europe za jedan od deset najboljih kulturnih programa za 1996.godinu. Na festivalu La Herencia de la Danza u Valladolidu ,Španjolska isti projekt dobio je priznanje Broche de Oro za najbolju predstavu. Za rad ZPA značajno je otvaranje prostora novom načinu razmišljanja o plesu,prostora za istraživanje, koji pored produkcija stavlja naglasak na proces rada i edukaciju izvođača. Zagreb Dance Ansamble / ZPA Since its foundation Zagreb Dance Company has remained uncompromising in its thinking of dance as artistic expression.Zagreb Dance Company has an enviable continuity of its work and has educated a number of dancers and dance experts working in Croatia and abroad.Company has performed at all important festivals as well as in all big theatres in Croatia. It is present abroad at important festivals and events in Germany,Russia,Slovenia,Hungary,Italy,Spain,Portugal,Lithuania,Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt. In the last couple of seasons,Zagreb Dance Company has been systematically working on the internationalisation of the dance art in Croatia and has co-operated with significant foreign choreographers and pedagogues. The co-operation with Lanonima Imperial from Barcelona has resulted in the project «Identifying a Landscape»,which was considered one of the ten best programs in culture at the European Council commission in 1996,and which got the award for the best production (Broche de Oro) at La Herencia de la Danza Festival at Valladolid,Spain. It is important for the work of the Company to open the space for a new way of thinking dance,the space for investigation because Zagreb Dance Company has put emphasis not only on the productions themselvs but also on the process of the work and on the education of the dancers.
